In recent years, the annual number of reports to the Vaccine Adverse
Event Reporting System (VAERS) has exceeded the total number of reports
of routine childhood vaccine-preventable disease!

If you suspect that you or your child has experienced a vaccine reaction,
report that reaction to the government at the Vaccine
Adverse Events Reporting System. You can also report a reaction to the National Vaccine
Information Center. They have kept a vaccine adverse event database
since 1982. To report a reaction to NVIC, click here.

Medical Practitioners do not follow Vaccination Recommendation:
The next time someone criticizes you for not vaccinating your children,
tell them you have a lot of company. Pediatrics recently published
a study revealing that, "A relatively large proportion of nonpediatricians
do not follow, nor plan to follow, current immunization recommendations
for their own children."
Significant numbers of pediatric (5%) and nonpediatric (10%) physicians
were declining vaccines for their own children. Shots declined include
measles, mumps, hepatitis B, and Haemophilus influenzae type b; many
postponed DTP or MMR vaccination. The doctors expressed the same concerns
as the public: the vaccines may cause brain and neurological damage
(autism, ADD/ADHD etc.). Pediatrics 2005;116:e623-e633. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/516345
Quotes From Medical Doctors On Vaccines
"Our children face the possibility of death or serious long-term adverse
effects from mandated vaccines that aren't necessary or that have very
limited benefits." -- Jane M. Orient, M.D., Association of American
Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) executive director.
"My suspicion, which is shared by others in my profession, is that the
nearly 10,000 SIDS deaths that occur in the United States each year
are related to one or more of the vaccines that are routinely given
children. The pertussis vaccine is the most likely villain, but it
could also be one or more of the others." --Dr. Mendelsohn, M.D.
"When I was training, one in 2,500 [children were autistic]. Now it
is one in 250. At the moment, the only logical explanation for this
is MMR." -- Dr Kenneth Aitken, British specialist in the treatment
of autism. (The Telegraph, United Kingdom, April 2, 2002)
"By the (U.S.) government's own admission, there has been a 41% failure
rate in persons who were previously vaccinated against the (measles)
virus." -- Dr. Anthony Morris, John Chriss, BG Young, "Occurrence of
Measles in Previously Vaccinated Individuals," 1979; presented at a
meeting of the American Society for Microbiology at Fort Detrick, Maryland,
April 27, 1979.
"In 1993 a high court judge in the UK decided that it was impossible
to know the exact contents of vaccines and that science had no idea
what the cocktail of chemicals, contaminants and heavy metals contained
in vaccines could do to the human body, or why they would work to prevent
disease." -- British Medical Journal, 1993.
"There is no evidence that any influenza vaccine thus far developed
is effective in preventing or mitigating any attack of influenza. The
producers of these vaccines know that they are worthless, but they go
on selling them, anyway." -- Dr. J. Anthony Morris (formerly Chief
Vaccine Control Officer at the US Federal Drug Admin.)
"There is insufficient evidence to support routine vaccination of healthy
persons of any age." --Paul Frame, M.D., Journal of Family Practice
"Our results suggest that infants whose mothers are born since measles
vaccine licensure in 1963 are significantly more susceptible to measles
than are infants of older mothers and that the risk of measles increases
incrementally with each year increase in the maternal year of birth." -- "Increased
susceptibility to measles in infants in the United States ", Pediatrics
1999 (Nov); 104 (5): e59
The strong association between vaccination with RRV-TV and intussusception
among otherwise healthy infants supports the existence of a causal relation.
-- Intussusception
among infants given an oral rotavirus vaccine, Murphy TV, et al.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, N Engl J Med. 2001 Feb 22;344(8):564-72
"Delay of DPT immunization until 2 years of age in Japan has resulted
in a dramatic decline in adverse side effects. In the period of 1970-1974,
when DPT vaccination was begun at 3 to 5 months of age, the Japanese
national compensation system paid out claims for 57 permanent severe
damage vaccine cases, and 37 deaths. During the ensuing six year period
1975-1980, when DPT injections were delayed to 24 months of age, severe
reactions from the vaccine were reduced to a total of eight with three
deaths. This represents an 85 to 90 percent reduction in severe cases
of damage and death." --Raymond Obomsawin, Ph.D.
"Autism may be a disorder linked to the disruption of the G-alpha protein,
affecting retinoid receptors in the brain. A study of sixty autistic
children suggests that autism may be caused by inserting a G-alpha protein
defect, the pertussis toxin found in the D.P.T. vaccine, into genetically
at-risk children." --Mary N. Megson, M.D.
"My data proves that the studies used to support immunization are so
flawed that it is impossible to say if immunization provides a net
benefit to anyone or to society in general. This question can only be determined
by proper studies which have never been performed. The flaw of previous
studies is that there was no long term follow up and chronic toxicity
was not looked at. The American Society of Microbiology has promoted
my research...and thus acknowledges the need for proper studies." --John
B.Classen, M.D., M.B.A
"These data show that DPT vaccination may be a generally unrecognized
major cause of sudden infant and early childhood death, and that the
risks of immunization may outweigh its potential benefits. A need for
re-evaluation and possible modification of current vaccination procedures
is indicated by this study." --William C. Torch, M.D., Director of
Child Neurology, Department of Pediatrics, University of Nevada School
of
Medicine
"The (Illinois) department followed the recommendation of a panel of
experts, its Immunization Advisory Committee, while rejecting the advice
of others who thought the decision should be left to parents and pediatricians.
But in what critics consider a conflict of interest, 5 of the committee's
18 members have financial ties to Merck, which makes the chickenpox
vaccine. Two members of the committee have given talks for Merck, receiving
up to $750 per speech. A third member directs a nonprofit group that
has received $20,000 in grant money from the company. And two other
members own stock in Merck, including one who has owned as much as
$16,000 worth." - (Sun Times, January 27, 2002)
"Vaccination is not necessary, not useful, does not protect. There are
twice as many casualties from vaccination as from AIDS." --Dr. Gerhard
Buchwald, West Germany, specialist of internal diseases and participant
in about 150 trials of vaccination victims.
"The public is surely entitled to convincing proof, beyond all reasonable
doubt, that artificial immunization is in fact a safe and effective
procedure, in no way injurious to health, and that the threat of the
corresponding natural diseases remain sufficiently clear and urgent
to warrant mass inoculation of everyone, even against their will if
necessary. Unfortunately, such proof has never been given." --Richard
Moskowitz, M.D., Journal of the American Institute of Homeopathy, March
1983 (76:7)
"Sudden Infant Death Syndrome has been reported following administration
of DPT. The significance is unclear. 85% of SIDS cases occur in the
period 1 through 6 months of age, with the peak incidence at age 2 to
4 months." --From the accompanying insert to Connaught Labs DPT shot.
"Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and the whole panoply of childhood
diseases are a far less serious threat than having a large fraction
(say 10%) of a generation afflicted with learning disability and/or
uncontrollable aggressive behavior because of an impassioned crusade
for universal vaccination ... Public policy regarding vaccines is fundamentally
flawed. It is permeated by conflicts of interest. It is based on poor
scientific methodology (including studies that are too small, too short,
and too limited in populations represented), which is, moreover, insulated
from independent criticism. The evidence is far too poor to warrant
overriding the independent judgments of patients, parents, and attending
physicians, even if this were ethically or legally acceptable." --Association
of American Physicians & Surgeons

Vaccines may adversely
affect neurologic and psychologic development
Progress in the field of Psychoneuroendocrinimmunology has led some researchers
to conclude that vaccines in general may not only be impacting negatively on
the human immune system, but may also be adversely affecting the neurologic and
psychologic development and function of the vaccine recipient. The impact of
artificial immunity on immune, neurologic, endocrine, and psychologic systems
has not been scientifically elucidated.
FDA Approves Combination Vaccine
The vaccine, called Pediarix, combines into one injection today's shots
that protect against five different diseases -- diphtheria, tetanus,
whooping cough, hepatitis B and polio.
Until now, it has taken nine separate injections for babies to get
that much protection. Pediarix requires only three shots staggered
through the first six months of life.

Increasing Concerns about Vaccines among Parents
The safety and efficacy of childhood immunizations has come under
increasing scrutiny in the past few years. With some of the most recently
approved childhood vaccines pulled off the market, and some states
requiring a child to be vaccinated more than 20 times before beginning
grade school, parents are justifiably concerned about the number of
shots, and whether some of them may do more harm than good.
Many practitioners also reported that the parents of patients expressed
a wide variety of concerns about vaccine safety. The most common parental
concern was about possible side-effects mentioned in vaccine information
statements (reported by 40 percent of pediatricians and 27 percent
of family practitioners), followed by the belief that new vaccines
are not adequately tested (reported by 32 percent of pediatricians
and 24 percent of family physicians), and that vaccines may cause neurologic
disorders such as autism and multiple sclerosis (35 percent of pediatricians
and 15 percent of family practitioners). A significant percentage of
parents also expressed the belief that additives in vaccines may not
be safe, and that they may be linked to chronic disorders or sudden
infant death syndrome (SIDS).

AAPS Opposes Mandatory Vaccines
The Association of American Physicians & Surgeons, Inc. ("AAPS"),
founded in 1943, is a nationwide group of thousands of physicians.
We
oppose the proposed mandate for vaccination against chickenpox.
Prior to the development of the varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, the
disease was widely recognized to be one of the most benign illnesses.
For example, Encyclopedia of Medicine of the American Medical Association
stated in 1989 that chickenpox is a "common and mild infectious disease
of childhood" and that "all healthy children should be exposed to chickenpox
. at an age at which it is no more than an inconvenience." Likewise,
the American Academy of Pediatrics declared in a 1996 brochure that
"[m]ost children who are otherwise healthy and get chickenpox won't
have any complications from the disease."
Indeed, the chickenpox fatality rate is among the lowest of all known
diseases, with only about 100 dying out of millions who contract chickenpox
each year. Moreover, most of those fatalities are in adults rather
than children. For example, a study published in the British Medical
Journal on July 27, 2002, confirmed that 81% of the deaths attributable
to chickenpox over a recent 12-year period in Britain were adults,
not children.

Recognition in Congress of Vaccine Injuries
WASHINGTON, March 18 (UPI) -- Congress will try to alter the federal
program that is supposed to compensate people harmed by vaccine side
effects by increasing payments and the number of people that would
be eligible for compensation.
Rep. Dan Burton, R-Ind., is set Wednesday to introduce new legislation
that would increase payments from the program from $250,000 to $300,000
and alter the statute of limitations so more people would be eligible.
Families who are shut out of the program by the current three-year
limit on filing claims applauded the changes that would make them eligible.
Vaccinations as Cause of Death
On November 11, 1997, at two months of age, Alan was given six
vaccines (DTaP, Hib, OPV and Hepatitis B) and sent home without monitoring
or medical supervision. The baby developed a high-pitched cry, his
skin became warm to touch, and there was an increasing lethargy with
a falling-off feeding pattern at about l0 or 11 days, following the
vaccine injections. His mother had been told in the doctor’s
office that these symptoms might result following these vaccinations.
This led her not to worry about her baby’s symptoms and not
to call his doctor. On November 24th, at 13 days post vaccination,
the baby had a cardiac arrest and apnea episode, and his father took
him to the emergency room at Princeton Hospital in Orlando Florida
(II-B).
